Now that summer is drawing to a close, this is a friendly reminder that all boats have to be out of the water by November 1st. Please place them in the storage area behind the kayaks.
We prefer that you manage your boat, but understand that sometimes people are unavailable or unable to move it. Some of our members live in the Bay Area and other exotic locations and may not be able to make it back to the lake in time to meet the annual deadline.
So to make things simpler, this year we will move any boat still on the lake on Nov. 1 and add a fee to your annual dues. But that comes with a couple of caveats:
If your boat is locked up, we'll cut the chain so that it can be moved. The boat owner is responsible for replacing the chain if required.
We will be careful, but accidents happen. The Lake Club is not responsible for accidental damage to boats that have to be moved after the Nov. 1 deadline. If you are concerned about damage, you should make arrangements to move the boat yourself.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Board Member Shawn Hatton at (813) 262-7709.
