Frequently Asked Questions

Is Brentwood Lake open to the public?

No, it is a private lake and available only to members and their guests.

  • Members must carry a key card and accompany their guests.

  • Members' renters (short or long term) are not allowed to use the lake unless accompanied by the member.

  • Cards are checked at the gate and any member has the right to request a person's membership card to ensure that person is allowed on the property.

  • Anyone trespassing at the lake will be escorted out.

How do I become a member?

There are two ways to become a member:

1. Transfer the membership within a family or domestic partnership
2. Purchase a membership from an existing member

  • The price is set by the member/seller and fluctuates due to market demand.

  • The cost can range from $10,000 to as much as $15,000 and has been trending upward in recent years.

  • Memberships are often sold when a member moves away and sells their house.

  • The membership can be sold to the home buyer or to any private party.

  • Brentwood Lake Club offers a waiting list as a courtesy but does not control or routinely sell memberships. When a member wants to sell and is looking for a buyer, the Lake Club will connect them with the person on the top of the list.

  • It may also be effective to post that you are looking for a membership on local social media sites like Nextdoor and Facebook.
